Performance factors like teamwork, training, coaching and confidence during learning and improvement phases of obsolescence management are highly important for a successful and sustainable enhancement.

The tension of results and atmosphere, working groups, workshops and team building activities have enormous importance.


Working groups based on aquired solutions should be installed and team-building measures, depending on the existing basis and participants should be implemented.

The design of workshops as training of staff should include at least some of the following topics:

  • Basic Training
    on reactive, proactive and strategic obsolescence management. This is done in form of training as a means of communication with all stakeholders and extensive consultation with employees.

  • Guidance and control
    of employees during the implementation phase of development or expansion of a comprehensive obsolescence management system.

  • Creating of acceptability and awareness raising
    for the necessary change process of company's internal processes.
  • Drafting of solutions
    for concrete individial cases. This means drafting an actual situation and giving recommendations for a target situation based on a brief analysis.
